Mark Witt, TromboneMark has had a lengthy and varied career as a musician, which started when he went to college at the famed University of North Texas. He joined the Army in 1980 and became a soloist with the 76th Army Band until 1984. He held a position with the Stockton Symphony in 1985 then moved to Chicago in 1987, where he played with many notable latin and jazz musicians. He played on cruise ships for several years and moved to the Phoenix area sixteen years ago.

Locally, Mark was a founding member of The Swingtips, a Phoenix group with national notoriety. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in music education and is currently is the band director at Creighton School in central Phoenix. He is also the music director of the big band, Sonoran Serenade.

When Mark is not teaching he keeps a busy schedule performing a wide variety of music. He has played with Ray Charles, Shirly Jones, Sherry Lewis, Mary Jones, Dick Clark, Jay Leno, Wayne Newton, Bill Watrous, Monte Procopio and many others.
