Projects

Currently, The Phoenix Horns are working on an a capella jazz album. They have commissioned ten original compositions and arrangements from some of the top arrangers in the country, including Bob Freedman, Kim Richmond, Rick Hirsch, Stan Bann, and Steve Wiest. The album is entitled “Phunky Phoenix” and is planned for release in 2013. Check back for more news soon!

While the album is in production, the band is busy working on arrangements for their next recording project. In addition, they are available for:

  • Concerts and educational clinics as an a capella jazz ensemble
  • Custom arrangements: We can create horn arrangements for your original music and transcribe horn parts from recordings
  • Recording and performing as an “add on” horn section for blues, R&B, and latin bands

We also currently have the following commercial songs transcribed and available for performance as “cover” versions.
